Terms of use

Agreement

By accessing BT9G you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

BT9G is a search tool over publicly announced BitTorrent DHT metadata. It displays technical records allowed by the public access policy. It is not a file host, tracker, or BitTorrent client, and it does not store or seed torrent payloads.

Automated index

The index is built automatically from DHT announcements. BT9G does not undertake to inspect, classify or guarantee the legality, safety or accuracy of indexed metadata. Titles and file names are supplied by third parties on the network.

No hosting of files

BT9G does not upload, download, cache or seed the files described by a torrent. Any magnet or hash you copy is used in software you control. You are solely responsible for compliance with the laws that apply to you.

Acceptable use

You may not use BT9G to pursue or facilitate copyright infringement, child sexual abuse material, malware distribution, or any other unlawful activity. You may not attack, scrape in an abusive way, or attempt to disrupt the service.

Third-party sites and software

Results may include links or magnets that open third-party websites or applications. BT9G does not warrant those destinations. You agree not to hold BT9G liable for damage arising from visiting or using them.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or uninterrupted availability, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BT9G and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from use of the search index or from third-party content.

Copyright and takedown

We respect intellectual property and other legal rights. Because we only index metadata, a takedown means removing records from public search. See the DMCA / takedown page and the report form on each result.

Changes

We may update these terms. The “Updated” date at the top of this page is the effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
